And, right now, we’re looking for a proactive individual with the ability to implement innovation and change to join the Leadership team of our School of Business and Law.
Day-to-day, you’ll lead and manage academic staff in the subject area and take responsibility for the budget, operational matters and the development of staff. But that’s not all. We’ll also rely on you to help develop the School’s strategic and operational plans and, as an active member of the School’s Leadership Team, engage and lead on a range of cross-School and University initiatives. Participating in high quality teaching, research and external engagement and relationships that further the strategic aims of the University and School will be important too. And, when it comes to facilitating and encouraging best practice in terms of learning, teaching and student engagement, again, we’ll count on you to deliver.
Educated to Masters level, with a good first degree in a related discipline, you’ll also need a Doctorate and/or credible research/publication record and/or relevant professional experience. We’ll be looking for a track record of successful leadership too, together with the ability to manage staff and engage effectively with key stakeholders and experience managing resources and budgets. Business Management expertise, gained either through professional and industry links or a research record of recent high quality publications in the subject area is essential. So too is the ability to plan strategically in order to deliver the School’s vision for the future and a flair for adapting the way you communicate depending on the audience.
