The role is to lead the support team within CCSG, providing excellent support to outlets and venues around campus and support the businesses with new technology driven initiatives.
Experience of management in a technical role is essential. Experience in formal business analysis and / or project management is a strong advantage, although a solid track record in technical support or software development would also be a benefit.
The role is advertised as full time hours, although there is opportunity of flexibility for the right candidate.
JOB PURPOSE
The role is broadly split into two parts, meaning it’s an excellent role for an experienced IT manager who likes variation:
1) Management of the Commercial Technology and Integration team
Managing a team of IT Support Analysts. The role of the CTI team is to provide basic IT support to the commercial outlets, with a strong focus on ePos, tills and payment card devices. The role would be overseeing the CTI service desk, monitoring trends, managing suppliers, leadership and mentoring of team members.
2) Business Analysis and Project Management
Working with Heads of Departments, the Commercial Director and the CCSG IT director to establish a project approach for technical projects. For example, designing, procuring and implementing new platforms. A major part of the role also includes designing the post go live support model for new systems to ensure they are adopted. CCSG IT use the Agile project management methodology.
