About the role:
The Research and Innovation Development Office (RIDO) works proactively with Faculties providing support and assistance to academic staff in developing, writing and submitting applications for Research and Innovation Funding. We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our team, to provide administrative support on external bidding as well as disseminating funding opportunities, supporting internal events and training around relevant systems and tools. The role holder will work closely with Research Innovation Funding Managers (RIFM) in order to ensure that our academic community receives a professional and efficient service and meets the ambitions of our Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange Strategy.
With a degree or part qualified in a relevant professional qualification, you’ll have relevant experience in Research and Innovation funding, including costing and processing grant applications and of working closely with staff at all levels across an organisation. You’ll have relevant experience in a Higher Education environment, excellent organisational and communication skills, and will have interest and skills in using and managing digital tools. You’ll be self-motivated, flexible and able to prioritise and meet agreed deadlines. Experience of using Full Economic Costing tools and on-line application submission systems would be advantageous.
Although the post will be based predominately in our Cambridge campus, you’ll be delivering services in other locations so some travel will be required.
