IT activity occurs across the University through a combination of centrally provided services and local, departmentally based, projects and IT teams.
The Warwick IT Services (ITS) Project Management Office (PMO) Team are looking for an experienced Test Lead to set up and manage the test function for a range of projects. This will include managing resources to perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and carrying out testing on projects managed by the PMO.
Note this post is for a fixed term of 3 years.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To set-up, manage and maintain the testing function for the ITS PMO:
- Liaise with users to develop test scenarios;
- Establish a scalable process for manually testing software;
- Record and monitor defects;
- Demonstrate an understanding of wider software and hardware environment which may impact on the testing of software.
- Feedback progress and results to the project or programme team;
- Identify, define and create test scripts and other test related documentation;
Demonstrate an understanding of wider platform defects/issues (software/hardware) which may impact on the testing of the software.
- Provide in depth knowledge, support and implementation skills for detailed technical projects within the department utilising IT. Also represent the department on University wide IT projects to ensure business needs are met.
- To manage a complete testing function for the ITS PMO;
- People management and development of other test resources including recruitment and selection;
- Liaise with internal and external service providers to obtain advice and support with regard to business systems. Especially maintain close links with IT Services.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of technical developments and issues in the IT industry.
