The regulatory frameworks around research are becoming increasingly complex and as such we are seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to lead our newly formed Governance & Compliance team.
The Governance & Compliance team works with our research community across all three of the University’s faculties, providing expert practitioner support to areas of regulatory compliance in research and industry research contracts.
The postholder will have direct line management responsibility for three Research Governance & Compliance Officers, providing daily supervision on matters relating to industry contracts, research governance and quality assurance. The team provides expert practitioner support to the pre-award grants and contracts and research impact teams in Research & Impact Services (circa 45 practitioners). The role holder will also be a member of the R&IS Senior Management team making an important contribution to the overall leadership of the department.
Situated in Research & Impact Services, the successful candidate will join a friendly and welcoming department, and benefit from a culture of continual professional development. The role will appeal to those with experience of working in a legal and/or regulatory advisory role and leading a team of specialist practitioners.
