About the Job and the department
In this new role, our Head of Curriculum Management will be responsible for establishing and leading Warwick’s Curriculum Management function, bringing together the end-to-end operational management of curriculum lifecycle processes and data. The role holder will support wider University strategy and collaborate with leaders in the areas of: learning and curriculum design; academic portfolio planning and student recruitment; finance; quality assurance and compliance; student administration; statutory returns; and data governance and analysis.
This position provides a single point of business ownership, with oversight of the services and processes that make up Curriculum Management, including responsibility for the data, systems and technology underpinning it. In collaboration with technical specialists in the Information and Digital Group and in Procurement, the role holder represents the University as the client to suppliers.
The role holder will join the senior team in the Education Policy and Quality (EPQ) division, which helps ensure that Warwick offers a transformative, enriching and distinctive education to every student who studies here. Broadly speaking, our remit covers educational policy, strategy and governance and their role in creating a culture of continuous improvement. What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
Educated to degree level or evidencing demonstrable relevant experience, the successful candidate will have significant experience of managing academic administration or planning functions in Higher Education, developing and implementing effective systems, policies and procedures to meet a business need and drive continuous improvement.
The person will have enhanced leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate, lead and inspire a team to deliver results and the proven ability to persuade, influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of Higher Education regulatory and compliance obligations, as they relate to qualifications, curriculum and the portfolio such as OfS Conditions of Registration, the Consumer Rights Act and Qualifications Frameworks is desirable.
