The Information Digital Group (IDG) at the University of Warwick is focussed on delivering innovative and effective digital services and solutions that empower students and staff to maximise their potential and achieve excellence. The vision and strategic direction of the department is committed to putting staff and students at the heart of everything it does whilst driving a digital first culture and leveraging opportunities for innovation.
With a new, agile structure IDG are in a strong position to build on its strengths and embed new, innovative ways to deliver effective solutions. Set up as seven functional areas which come together to deliver and achieve the collective vision – these are:

- Strategy, Enterprise Architecture and Innovation
- Infrastructure & Operations
- Information Security & Compliance
To achieve the IDG vision, the department will be recruiting additional skills within these areas. We currently have roles in the Strategy, Enterprise Architecture and Innovation and Infrastructure & Operations areas that will enable the functions to broaden the services offered to faculties, increase engagement with its end users and help to drive innovative and effective digital solutions.
JOB PURPOSE
The Service Management owns the accountability for all ITIL processes and standards. Ensuring that all I&O delivery meets KPIs, has robust reporting and monitoring processes, highlights performance challenges and recommends improvements.
Within the ITIL framework, key capabilities such as Service Desk, Problem Management are directly line managed within Service Management. Other ITIL processes such as availability management, change management and demand management are owned by other teams but Service Management is responsible for assurance of those processes.
