About the Job
The Information Digital Group (IDG) at the University of Warwick are currently recruiting for a Head – Office of the CIO. Your role will be to improve business outcomes by providing a consistent way to connect & track the business value to technology investments, allowing the Chief Information and Transformation Officer (CITO) and the IDG Senior Leadership team to focus on strategic and operational delivery.
The alignment of business value to technology investments is achieved by the application of the Technology Business Management Council’s framework across the entirety of the business operation lifecycle, typically encompassing:
- Strategic Planning and Ideation
- Demand & Capacity Management
- Financial Planning Cycle
- Delivery Management
- Value Management and Financial Controls
The ‘Office of the CIO’, requires holding to account of operational leaders for performance on behalf of the CITO by monitoring, review and challenge of operational metrics (KPIs, KRIs, OKRs etc.), the co-ordination of cross-functional continuous improvement activities and the provision of support to the IDG Senior Leadership Team.
What we are looking for
Educated to degree level or have equivalent professional experience, you will have significant experience of financial, commercial or operational management in an Information Technology function. You will have the ability to drive positive outcomes from technology investment and have the ability to translate and communicate financial and technical information clearly and concisely.
