We are seeking to appoint a Provost, a member of the University Executive who will lead on the delivery of the academy strategy as part of the wider institutional strategy, which puts ‘Excellence with Purpose’ at the core of our endeavours. Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor and sitting on the University Executive Board, the role holder will be an institutional leader with the vision and stature to grow our academy. Working collaboratively with the wider executive team, they will achieve the University’s strategic priorities and goals, and through inspirational leadership, they will make a significant contribution towards raising the University’s profile nationally and internationally.
The successful candidate will bring to the role a detailed understanding of developments in higher education, within the UK and overseas, and an ability to horizon scan to identify challenges and opportunities for the future. They will be responsible for determining the size and shape of our academy to identify opportunities for innovation and sustainable growth.
