The Warwick Mathematics Institute is a world-leading, research-focused department. We currently have over 80 permanent academic staff and a commensurate number of postdocs and PhD students.
We are one of the UK’s leading departments in the 2021 national Research Excellence Framework (together with Warwick Statistics), scoring highly in the quality of our research; its Impact and our Environment are outstanding. Our undergraduate programme is the equal of any other in the UK and this is reflected in the quality of our students. The university itself is consistently in the top 10 of UK university league tables and top 50 of international tables.
Our staff work across the whole spectrum of mathematics. There is no formal division here between pure and applied maths; we actively support interaction across mathematical boundaries and encourage collaboration beyond the confines of the department and academia.
The Regius Professorship in Mathematics was awarded to Warwick by the Queen in 2013. As such this is a high-profile appointment, and we are looking for someone whose international reputation will enhance our vibrant and diverse research activities and be happy to contribute to the welcoming and inclusive environment we seek to foster in the department.
The Warwick Mathematics Institute is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and we look forward to interest from female applicants.
The University of Warwick has appointed SearchHigher as their recruitment partner for this campaign.
