The University of Warwick is seeking an experienced Service Architect to join our dynamic team.
As a Service Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the IT service landscape of our organization. About You
A successful candidate for the Service Architect position will possess a strong understanding of IT Service Management principles and practices. You should have in-depth experience with the ITIL framework and a proven track record in designing and implementing service architectures. Your analytical skills are exceptional, allowing you to translate complex business requirements into efficient and scalable IT services.
We are looking for someone who is a strategic thinker, able to see the big picture, and also has a keen eye for detail. You should be a strong communicator, capable of articulating ideas clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels. Collaboration is key in this role, so you should be adept at working within cross-functional teams and fostering positive relationships.
Furthermore, a successful candidate will be highly adaptable and open to innovation, always looking for ways to improve processes and services. You should have a proactive attitude, demonstrating initiative and a desire to drive continuous improvement.

As part of IDG, I&O is responsible for ensuring the delivery of reliable, performant, and efficient technology and services to underpin the University’s strategic outcomes for teaching, research and administration. This includes the development and maintenance of IT systems, networks and hardware ensuring they are performant to agreed SLAs and delivering high availability.
I&O also develops and implements IT infrastructure and operations strategies for the University, aligning them with objectives and industry best practices. They oversee the University’s IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient and secure operations, while managing relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to meet agreed-upon agreements.
